What is Digizen ? ( About us )
Digizen is a student-led, nonprofit initiative dedicated to helping people build healthier relationships with their screens. We created Digizen after seeing how endless scrolling, late-night notifications, and constant digital noise were affecting our focus, sleep, and mental well-being. Our app makes it simple to set intentional screen-time limits, and uses gentle alarms and reminders to nudge users back to what matters most—study, rest, connection, and real-life experiences. What sets Digizen apart is our emphasis on humane design. We don’t shame or scare users into change. Instead, we combine clear time boundaries with positive reinforcement and small, achievable goals. Digizen works across common device tasks, delivers subtle alarms when limits are exceeded, and provides weekly insights to help users reflect on patterns and build better habits over time. As a charity-driven project, Digizen is committed to accessibility and transparency. We keep the core app free, reinvest donations into research-backed features, and partner with schools, youth groups, and community organizations to promote digital well-being. Our team includes student developers, volunteers, and mentors who believe technology should serve people—not the other way around.
